This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for requesting refunds for Trader Map subscriptions and services. We process all payments securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor.

1. General Refund Policy
Important: All Subscription Fees Are Non-Refundable
As stated in our Terms of Service, all subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we may provide refunds on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion for specific circumstances outlined in this policy.
This policy applies to all subscription plans (monthly and annual) and services offered by Trader Map.
2. Free Trial
We offer a 30-day free trial for new users to evaluate our platform before committing to a paid subscription.
- No credit card is required during the trial period
- You can cancel at any time during the trial with no charges
- Trial period is 30 days from account creation
- After the trial ends, you must subscribe to continue using premium features
We encourage you to fully evaluate our service during the free trial period before subscribing.
3. Subscription Refunds
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
- Billed on a monthly recurring basis
- Generally non-refundable
- No partial refunds for unused days in the billing cycle
- You may cancel before the next billing cycle to avoid future charges
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
- Billed annually at a discounted rate (17% savings)
- Generally non-refundable after the first 30 days
- May be eligible for pro-rata refund within 30 days of initial purchase (see Eligible Refunds)
- No refunds for mid-year cancellations after the 30-day period
4. Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- You retain access until the end of your billing period
- Your card will not be charged again
- No refund is issued for the current period
- You can reactivate before the period ends
Refund
When a refund is issued:
- Your subscription is immediately canceled
- Access to paid features is revoked
- Funds are returned to your original payment method
- Processing may take 5-10 business days
Important: Cancellation is different from a refund. You can cancel anytime through your account settings at Settings → Subscription.
5. Eligible Refund Scenarios
We may provide refunds at our sole discretion in the following circumstances:
✓ Technical Issues
If you experience significant technical problems that prevent you from using the platform, and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe (typically 7 business days).
Requirements: You must report the issue to support@tradermap.com and allow us to attempt a resolution.
✓ Duplicate Charges
If you are accidentally charged more than once for the same billing period due to a payment processing error.
Processing: Duplicate charges are automatically refunded within 3-5 business days once identified.
✓ Billing Errors
If you are charged incorrectly (wrong amount, wrong plan, or charged after cancellation was processed).
Requirements: Contact billing@tradermap.com with details. We will investigate and refund if an error is confirmed.
✓ Annual Plan - First 30 Days
If you purchase an annual subscription and request a refund within 30 days of the initial charge, we may issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.
Calculation: (Total paid / 365 days) × remaining days = refund amount
✓ Service Discontinuation
If we discontinue the Trader Map service entirely, you will receive a pro-rata refund for any unused time in your subscription period.
Notice: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before discontinuing service.
6. Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are NOT eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Change of Mind: If you simply decide you no longer want the service
- Lack of Use: If you forget to use the service or don't log in
- Feature Expectations: If specific features don't meet your personal preferences (all features are documented and available during free trial)
- Account Termination: If your account is terminated due to Terms of Service violations
- Partial Periods: We do not provide partial refunds for unused days/months in a billing cycle
- Price Changes: Current subscribers are not eligible for refunds due to price increases (grandfathered rates apply)
- Third-Party Fees: Any transaction fees, currency conversion fees, or bank charges
- Data Loss: Losses incurred from investment decisions made using our platform
7. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on the scenarios above, follow these steps:
Contact Support
Email billing@tradermap.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
Provide Required Information
- Your registered email address
- Date of charge
- Transaction ID (found in your email receipt from Stripe)
- Reason for refund request
- Detailed description of the issue (if applicable)
Review Process
We will review your request within 5 business days and respond via email with our decision
Refund Processing
If approved, refunds are processed through Stripe to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
Important Notes:
- All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- We reserve the right to deny refund requests that don't meet our eligibility criteria
- Our decision on refund requests is final
8. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, the timeline is as follows:

Note: Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer. International transactions may take longer.
9. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
⚠️ Please Contact Us Before Filing a Chargeback
If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us first at billing@tradermap.com. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.
Chargeback Policy
If you file a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first:
- Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
- All access to the platform and your data will be revoked
- We will contest invalid chargebacks with supporting documentation
- If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent, your account will be permanently terminated
- You may be liable for chargeback fees ($15-$25 per occurrence)
Valid Dispute Reasons
Valid reasons to file a payment dispute with your bank:
- Fraudulent charge (you did not authorize the transaction)
- Duplicate charge that we did not refund after notification
- We are unresponsive to refund requests for eligible scenarios
10. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Material changes will be communicated via email
- Changes take effect immediately upon posting
- Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
We recommend reviewing this policy periodically to stay informed about our refund practices.
